My first review on DA website and this review is about the Devil May Cry games, I hope you guys and girls like it or not
Let me start back when I discovered the games, in 2008 at my grandparents house my uncle Dan had a PS2 and Xbox 360 and he has games some shot called Devil May Cry 1-4 I think I didn't saw him playing the game but I always wonder what is Devil May Cry, a game that you fight Satan and make him cry (I was 12 years old by the way and thinking about it right now it sounds like an after thought or worse) My mind was thinking about it, until my sister Bailey downloaded a demo and yup it's a Devil May Cry 4 demo I finally got the chance to play the demo and I was not sure what to think but that was just the demo, in 2010 I finally got to play the games

Lets starts with the first game Devil May Cry it was originally going to be Resident Evil 4 but then they realize it was way to action to be a RE game and thous Capcom  and Shinji Mikami gave Hideki Kamiya the freedom to make a new game Devil May Cry. The story begins with an opening and it starts like this " Two millenniums ago, there was a war. Between the human world and the other... the Underworld. But somebody from the Underworld woke up to justice, and stood up against this legion, alone. His name was Sparda. Later, he quietly reigned the human world, and continued to preserve harmony, until his death. He became a legend, The Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda." And that's the back, the main story starts with a lady named Trish who crashed in the shop with a motor cycle and she wants Dante the son of Sparta to kill Mundus, that's the story in a nutshell and well it's just there and it's not big thing that sales the game, the REAL big thing was the gameplay and the character Dante. Let me start by saying Dante may be one of the awesome video game character ever think if Bruce Campbell had a Japanese counterpart. Dante is created by Hideki Kamiya and this is one of his best character along side with Bayonetta others(also this name Dante was taken after the Poet Dante Alighieri), and along side is the gameplay, were do I start you have a sword and two pistols what do you with them easy kill demons as stylish as you can be. You start with your sword called Sparda then you get other melee weapons like ifrit a fist-fire type weapon and alastor sword-lightning type weapon for the guns you start with Ebony and Ivory then you get a shotgun, grenade launcher, needlegun (but it only works in water parts), and nightmare-B a laser type gun. Melee weapons can be found in the story but the guns can be found in pacific location though I did found them all, any let's talk about the gameplay now, it's been called a arena fighter (not like the fighting game) with waves of enemies and fighting them is the only way to get in to the next level but they do have puzzles and exploring to make it less repetitive, now the puzzles are fine and good but the combat is the best part, exploring however can be confusing unless you play the game like 1,000 times or something, there are 23 missions and 12 secret missions if you clear a mission without getting hit or speed run it you get an S rank so the game rewards and punish you, as for secrets missions you need to do a pacific task to complete them regardless if it's easy or not but if you do you're reword is a blue orb, in fact blue orbs increase your health and purple orbs increase your devil trigger. The game reward for being smart and punish for being stupid. The boss fights are awesome and there still fun even though you fight them three time they do get stronger the more you fight, but you can also get stronger as well by collecting red orbs to purchase new combos, upgrades and items like Holy Water. There's a lot of things to do and it can take you about 8 hours to complete the game for first time (1-3 hours if you speed run). The graphic still looks good the Gothic works is beautiful and it adds the atmosphere pretty well and the music is good too. It ain't perfect there are flaw like the voice acting is not that great but I do love this line "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with light!". That line is so silly and so beautiful at the same time. The one thing that everyone hates it's the fix camera, but I didn't have an issue with it because it's just here. For a game release in 2001 it's still fun and playable as it was back in 2001 9/10

Devil May Cry 2 was like the first but not in a good way, it's not the worst game I played but it doesn't have the fun and charm from the first. Gameplay is ok but easy for the most part, the boss fights are lazy but the final boss for Dante's playthrough wasn't that bad, graphics are dull and the story and villain is stupid. Dante at least looks cool and I did like Lucia as a character. overall I don't hate the game it's just that it lacks the first charm plus Kamiya and the team did not make this game if there's one thing that is good about this game is that the music. 6/10

Devil May Cry 3 was much better then 2 because the gameplay was back to it's original form but with added more to the gameplay like styles, lets you play any missions after finishing the game and get higher ranks, bloody palace, more weapons, and if you have the special edition you can play as Virgil (this was before DLC). The boss fights are awesome and the game is much harder then the last two. Story however is not that great better then 2 but that's not saying much, it's a prequel to the first game and it show. Dante is much younger and still fun but there are wired moments with him, Virgil is by far the best character in the game, Lady maybe my favorite female character in the series and Arkham/Jester is ok. Overall Devil May Cry 3 is mush better then 2 and that's a good thing plus I finish the game on Hard difficulty. 8.5/10

Devil May Cry 4 is considered to be a love or hate type of game but I still enjoy the game for what it is however you don't play as Dante that mush instead you play as Nero, now I'm ok playing as someone else but I do wish Dante has more missions and his own boss fights instead we fight the same boss from Nero's missions. The story is a mix bag there are interesting back story but it ain't great and has plot holes, not as mush as the other but still. Lady and Trish are just there in the cutsence and you wonder why the game is like this, well the game was 50% done and they did not have mush time to finish it. It a shame too but the gameplay is by far the best part of the game, it's like the last but with more things to do and more fun than the third, plus this may be my favorite Dante of all time. It may not be the best game in the series but it's still fun for what it is I just wish they have more time to finish this game. 8/10
